SENSORY PROFILE
DESCRIPTION
Huupa Specialty Yellow Bourbon is a specialty coffee from Candelaria, Loxicha, Oaxaca, Mexico. At Finca Chelín, producer Enrique López grows this Yellow Bourbon variety at an altitude of 4,921 to 5,906 ft. These growing conditions contribute to a complex cup with layers of flavor.
Huupa Specialty Yellow Bourbon undergoes a distinctive Hydro Honey process. Only ripe coffee cherries are selected and left to rest overnight before being depulped. The coffee is then dried in direct sunlight for two days, followed by one day under shade netting.
Next, the coffee is rehydrated with a small amount of water before being depulped again. It is then dried in direct sunlight for three days, followed by approximately 25 days of slow drying on raised African-style beds in an ecological drying facility.
Its medium roast brings out its fruity and sweet notes, with hints of citrus, tropical fruit, and honey.
A great choice for those who enjoy a sweet, fruit-forward coffee with bright acidity and a smooth finish.
